Inspiration...

    Wow, so sorry...I didn't realize how long it has been since I last blogged.
I do need to get better about that...sometimes the time just seems to slip on
by before I know it it is a new week with a new list of things to do and well
you know how it goes.
    Today I wanted to let you in to my inspiration for the holidays...
I am participating in the Plucky Maidens Holiday Junk Fest on November 22 & 23
in Portland, OR and I love having a theme. I find to be helpful in planning what
my space is going to look like, gives it some focus and offers inspiration for me
and my customers.
    This year it's Holidays in Montana...a little rough, a little outdoorsy, cold winter days
in front of the fireplace, and yes a wee bit of glam...snow can look like glitter after all.
    It started with two beautiful taxidermy deer heads I purchased a couple of months go,
Billie and Bobbie...they have been in my studio, giving me much inspiration.

Vintage Signs...

I love the old signage that peppered our country from coast to coast.
They don't make them like they use to...these would be fabulous hanging on a wall

Metal...

For those of you that know me, you know I love me a little metal.

the warmth...
the patina...
the way it reflects light...
how it can go with any style...

It's so versatile and fun to play with when designing any room in the house...

I imagine the chairs around the dining table, the lights over the kitchen island and the lockers in the entry way for outerwear...

Chairs continued...

So, my last blog was about chairs I am looking for or at least styles of chairs...this one is about a chair I found.
Yes, I found a chair!
It needs updated and reupholstered but what do you think?
I have some ideas on what I want to do to it and would love to hear your thoughts...so, what do you think I should do to it?

Chairs...

Who new finding the perfect chair would be so difficult...
I am on the hunt for two chairs for my living room, they can't be big overstuffed
armchairs like I currently have...they need to be more svelte and of course am looking
for vintage/antique chairs with some serious character.
Oh yeah, did I mention I don't want to pay an arm and a leg either for them. That makes it that much harder but I am determined...I know I will find them!

Soft Open...

We have a date for our soft open...

 Come shop at my studio/shop this Saturday August 31st for Antiques & Oddities...open 10a-2p...at 1091 Willamette Falls Dr, West Linn, OR...the entrance is located behind the building in the alley (it's a safe and friendly alley)...

All My Favorite Things will be open as well...she is located street side of the building!

You won't want to miss this...you will be the first to get to see the shop and 

studio space... you have to promise not to mind the still work in progress of the space.

We are getting there but as anything it still has a lot of work left to be done. 

If you can't make it to the soft opening we are always available by appointment

and we will be having a Grand Open Studio event at the end of September!
